Kathy Tarrant is our superhero! Our closing on both of our properties were smooth and quick. Due to my husband's schedule, we needed an early closing and Kathy did not disappoint; she came to our house at 6:30am. We cannot say enough great things about Kathy and 1836 Title Company.

EDITED 9 SEPT 2025 TO ADD: Wow. I left this review barely 24 hours ago and I received a call from the CEO apologizing and asking me how they could do better. While this doesn't change my experience, I really appreciate his willingness to discuss openly. I would use this company again, provided I don't have to work with Kathy. Updating this review to 3 stars due to the prompt and helpful followup. We recently had the displeasure of working with Kathy T. in the Garland office. She is not helpful, she actively gave us incorrect information regarding power of attorney (was only corrected when our lending officer called someone else in her office), and she is very slow to respond. The only positive here is that we ended up terminating our contract so we hopefully won't have to work with her much longer (just waiting for her to return our earnest money). If you have a choice, please do yourself a favor and stay away.
