We highly, highly recommend The Aegis Group. We recently completed an insurance claim (water damage to our kitchen). This claim had several elements (mitigation, remediation, restoration) as well as select improvements (i.e. additional cabinets & upgraded countertops) that were not part of the insurance claim. There was a remediation team, a designer/contractor and several sub contractors. Before this claim, we did not know what a Public Adjuster was. Contractors regularly advised they were experienced working the insurance companies and would provide the service for free. We were uncomfortable with the idea of paying a fee for advice on an insurance claim. During this effort, we learned that all contractors have strengths and weaknesses and their free work can have significant limitations/impacts. Aegis (really Matt) provided insight, advice, guidance and context; think translating insurance speak into english. Matt’s insurance expertise, combined with his construction experience and contractor savvy, helped us: document thoroughly, communicate more effectively, avoid mistakes/missteps that cost us money and complete all the required insurance steps in a timely manner. After this experience, we would not try something this involved, detailed, tricky and complicated without Matt being involved.
