Update 3/24/2026 I received a check from SafeCo in the amount of 43.00. I was told it would be retroactive back to the date I asked so I will not recommend SafeCo or AJ Morales to anyone in the future. Update: within a few hours of this review, they called and sent me proof of cancellation. I've yet to receive a refund and my bank will not stop the automatic payment if Safeco decides to take it out anyway. They were very helpful in the beginning. They had to cut coverages to make it within my budget. I realized three days after I paid them and had the insurance, that my old company was cheaper and offered more coverage at a better rate. I called and texted and emailed their office, I spoke with two people other than AJ and they both said they would cancel the policy and send me a confirmation. This was 11 days ago and they still have not cancelled the policy. Safeco will not let me cancel without going through AJ Morales. One day I called and the lady who answered the phone refused to speak English and then she sent a text in Spanish to my phone. I guess perhaps they are giving me a hard time because they don't like white people. All the good reviews on this website are from people with Hispanic names. The Better Business Bureau will be hearing from me today regarding them, since they refuse to confirm the cancellation and they are not taking any of my calls. I can't afford to have two insurance companies taking automatic payments out of my account. My brother is in the hospital, just had surgery yesterday. That refund could help with the supplies I need to get him to come home with. He had a limb amputated and needs a way to get around the house without putting pressure on what is left of his foot. I sent every document they requested of me, for the cancellation, and yet they are not doing it. I am saddened that there are still people in this world who have businesses, and their fair practices are so shotty. Shame on you AJ for causing an elderly lady, on disability, to have to write a review about your poor customer service. I have given you multiple tries to correct this issue before I wrote this review.
