This has been the worst experience with health insurance I have ever had.
Some people may say I’m being dramatic, but honestly, that would be an understatement. Trying to find a doctor on the Ultra Select plan has been an endless cycle of frustration. I repeatedly hear, “Yes, we take that insurance,” only to discover that the information is outdated or inaccurate. The provider directory is full of doctors who either no longer accept the plan or have removed themselves from the network, yet the insurance company has failed to update its records.
Even basic tasks are unnecessarily difficult. Getting assistance with changing or selecting a doctor routinely involves hold times of 45 minutes or more. It took me a full week just to receive my insurance card by email. Every interaction seems to involve excessive wait times, inaccurate information, and a lack of support.
At this point, the experience has been exhausting and has made it unnecessarily difficult to access healthcare. As a paying customer, I expected a much higher level of service and accuracy. But they can always take a payment effortlessly if that helps . Don’t be a fool like me

I am absolutely appalled at the actions of this insurance company denying a surgery I urgently need. Not only denying it, but having a pediatrician deny it when I am a grown woman with a large mass on my cervix causing excessive bleeding to the point of having to be point on hormones so I don’t become more anemic. It’s utterly barbaric for community health to treat a multi year loyal customer this way. I am actively in pain and unable to resume normal life due to waiting nearly a month for this surgery to be approved. This insurance has tried every single excuse to not approve the surgery, including claiming my doctor was out of the 75 mil radius, out of network, and then only taking bronze rather than my gold plan.my doctors office has been battling them for nearly a month. What is the point of my insurance going up by over quadruple in price since I’ve signed up 4 years ago if there’s zero advocation when I’m in medical need?

Honestly I was better off uninsured. I used my local community health center and I paid 80 bucks per visit, based off income. That took care of EVERYTHING. The tests I needed, the visit, everything. Now I’m with this trash insurance company. I needed a colonoscopy and I keep getting none stop bills for stuff they won’t pay. And now when I get my regular blood test I have all these out of pocket costs I never had before. I stay getting bills from quest because of this insurance company. They are trash. Go with another company. I’ve never felt more helpless than being insured now that I’m an adult. Insurance companies should be abolished. UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE FOR ALLL!
