Just went to try and open an account and the "manager" Ivan was so rude to me. I was trying to open an account and had started the process online and only needed to fund the account because the online system was not working. The staff is unorganized and had to reach out to the main branch bc they had no idea what to do. I funded the account with and received an email from austin telco saying they received it but they couldn't see it on their end. Ivan came over and said you need to leave and come back tomorrow, we are closed (I had already been there for 20 minutes at this point). Then he threatened to call the police bc I said that I am concerned about the payment and had received confirmationthat they received it. He then again threatened to call the police so I left. Very aggressive and super rude. I only needed this account to pay my new landlord with a member to member transfer but instead left feeling awful. I think I'll just figure something else out. There's no reason to be so rude to a customer. I was originally trying to deposit $1500.

I went in intending to open an account, and everything was fine until I stepped out briefly to withdraw cash, which I only did because I was trying to meet their requirements. When I returned just minutes later, I was told I couldn’t be helped, even though I had just been inside because they were now closed. The branch manager specifically told me if I went ahead to the ATM she’d let me back in to open my account. I asked her twice if she was sure. What really frustrated me was that the person I spoke with didn’t even come to the door to explain, they sent someone else. I had just spent $25 at a convenience store ATM unnecessarily when I could’ve used their drive-thru ATM if I’d been told that. There was zero empathy, no flexibility, and a complete lack of customer care. I get that policies exist, but compassion and communication should matter too. Based on this experience, I chose to take my business elsewhere.
