If you have a pressure washing machine in your garage they won’t cover your home. Emailed 1 low rate quoted a completely different much higher rate. Progressive or Geico are much better.

Took 3 weeks to get a quote. The quote seemed great until I started reading it over. Full of incorrect personal information and coverage costs missing. When brought to their attention it took days to get a response. By that time we had went with state farm. The agent was very rude and said we might want to make sure it doesn't affect our closing date. After multiple emails requesting our signatures for the policy I reconfirmed that the insurance needs cancelled. DR Horton mortgage also sent an email requesting the policy be cancelled. No response. I sent another email asking for confirmation that the policy was cancelled and got a nasty email saying there's no coverage if I don't pay. Everyone knows if you don't pay for policies that haven't gotten canceled it will go straight to your credit report for non payment. I will not be using DR Horton for insurance EVER. I really appreciated our local state farm agent for a more personal experience with 2-3x more coverage than DR Horton was offering for the same exact price. Dr Horton does not have customers in mind and work for commission. As soon as you say you will be using another company the agents get very rude and unresponsive. Can't wait for our closing survey comes out to reiterate how poor this company is. I figured I would get the same quality of care as I am already using DR Horton for everything else closing related.

Terrible. Gave us a great deal to start and quickly tripled our cost. Also found out that our house was under insured this entire time. So, they definitely completely scammed us.
