Juan has assisted me in the past with a couple of refinances that went quite well. However, lately there's been an update to the algorithm where my refinance gets consistently denied with each application and I'm told my credit is 15-20 points lower than what I see. I understand that's "the way the system works", but it seems like everyone is tightening their criteria to the point where it's unreasonable. I get told "Members get offers as low as 5%" every season and as an employee at TxDOT, I figured we could come up with some sort of fair deal. But I'm instead dismissed and have yet to even speak to Juan, with promises that I may have an easier time next season. But then next season comes around, I apply and I'm 2 points shy again and get told to wait until next season. I give up, man. Been working with these guys for 6+ years and I feel like I'm dismissed as a liability because the way their system is put together. A system is as fair as the people who coded it.

I don't see how this wonderful credit union doesn't have 5.0 perfect reviews on here! This is my 6TH auto loan with Houston Highway Credit Union... I've been a customer of theirs for almost 11 years!!! And each time I finance or refinance a vehicle with HHCU, I save BIG money compared to any other lender and the process literally cannot be easier. Juan Villegas takes every single bit of BS out of auto loans and makes the process insanely easy, simple, fast and clear. I love HHCU and am so fortunate to be a member of theirs. Thanks again as always!!!
