Unfortunately, our experience with Priority One Title was far from professional. Throughout the transaction, there were repeated delays and inaccurate responses from their team. Most concerning, they collected and disbursed funds that did not match the Closing Disclosure provided by their team just days before closing. Even more alarming, the lender confirmed that the numbers they received were different from ours — a major red flag. One that wasn't presented till after closing. When these issues were raised, the Priority One team refused to take responsibility, leaving us to correct the financial discrepancies ourselves. This is not how a reliable or TDI regulated title company should operate. As professionals in real estate, we expect better — and so should any client or agent working with a title company in Texas. *** The Owners response is a perfect example of why there was a huge lawsuit recently. The $500 charge wasnt to the Seller is was for the Buyer who knew what they signed (Buyer Rep why it's on the CDA) and the additional resources and services they received beyond "standard commission". Buyer Rep was even presented to Priority One. Whom acknowledged upon receipt of CDA, their CD, and Settlement statement but did not account for when receiving money. The Buyer was upset that Title made this mistake and stated they should be the ones to correct it not them. Once again, they knew. If I had thought of "asking for a manager" and not expecting the escrow agent who handled our transaction to take responsibility I would have. Once again reflective of the service Priority One (doesn't) provides.
