As a real estate agent, I close transactions regularly, and I found Signature Title's fees to be significantly higher than other title companies I work with. Charging a $700 closing fee, a $100 document preparation fee, plus additional settlement charges for a cash transaction felt excessive. I asked whether the fees could be adjusted, and while the escrow officer was courteous and checked with management, I was told they were non-negotiable. Unfortunately, the pricing alone is enough that I won't be using this title company for future transactions. I appreciate the professionalism of the staff, but the fees were simply too high for me to continue doing business with this title company.
