I would give zero stars if I could. I recently (03/04/26) traded in my John Deere 1025R at Tellus Castroville and down sized to a John Deere X350 (mower). Needless to say, they owed me money for my trade-in. Apparently, corporate office (in Katy, TX) is the one responsible for issuing the refund checks. Why the individual dealership doesn't issue those I cannot reasonably explain. It has now officially been 8 weeks (as of today 04/29/26) and I still have not received my refund check. Tellus Castroville has been good about trying to contact corporate, but haven't gotten anything but excuses. First, it was "the person handling Tellus Castroville is no longer with us" and your refund paperwork got lost in the shuffle. Waited at least a week (maybe longer) and was then told "we are restructuring our office". Waited a while longer, then was told AR (not sure what that office code stands for) no longer handles those refund requests and that the request should be sent to AP (accounts payable). Tellus Castroville asked for an update on my payment on 4/17/26 and was told there was an issue with the bank portal (You don't need a bank portal to write a check and mail it, so this is just another lame excuse), which should be fixed that day and the check would be mailed late next week (which would have been last Friday 4/24/26). It should only take a couple of days via USPS (Katy, TX to San Antonio, TX). Still did not get it as of today (4/29/26). Of course both Tellus Castroville salesman and myself called AP today and could not get in contact with anyone. I have previously had good customer service with no issues. Not now though, don't think I will be doing anymore business with Tellus if/when this gets settled. Tellus corporate customer service is horrible!!!!

Uvalde store gets 5 stars. Kerrville gets 2 for not having a service department or knowledge they have at the Uvalde store. Fredericksburg gets 3, maybe 4. It's just a lesser store than Uvalde.

It's been almost 4 years since under new ownership of Tellus Equipment Solutions. But, if you visit the stores today, you would think they opened up yesterday. The owner of Tellus, corporate management, and local management should be ashamed. As a customer, it is obvious that employees are not happy working there. Every time I visit a Tellus location for parts/service, it's always new faces... Slowly switching all my equipment over to Kubota,
I couldn't be happier. The Kubota equipment I have has been more reliable and with fewer breakdowns. The JD 120R loader(made in Mexico) cylinders shouldn't leak with less 200 hours on the tractor. Thanks, Tellus, for your help ruining the John Deere brand.
