I had a property that I had to clear title in litigation. I was the seller. Because of this, the company placed in the paperwork that I would be responsible for any future lawsuits on the property. This is even if I do not own it. According to my attorney, it is their job to insure a property and handle liabilities and they tried to push that on me. I feel this was very dishonest of the title company. In addition, they messed up on the sellers commission. I caught this, but if I didn't I would be paying more than I was supposed.
