Everyone I have talked with has been very courteous and helpful and I have talked to many and some more than once! My reason for a 4 star rating is that , according to my understanding of other LTC companies, Continental General is taking longer to get to the final reimbursements ; although they come thru in the end.

Continental General Insurance Company has been one of the most frustrating providers I’ve dealt with, and I’m seriously considering switching to another insurer. While they have no trouble withdrawing payments directly from my bank account, they still rely on mailing paper checks through USPS when issuing payouts, which can take weeks. To make matters worse, if a check is delayed or lost, they require you to wait 25 days before issuing a replacement. Many other companies now offer faster, more convenient payment options, showing a better understanding of customer needs and expectations. On top of that, my experience with their customer service was disappointing, as the tone felt unhelpful and dismissive. Given these issues, I’m actively researching alternative companies that provide more efficient service and a better overall customer experience.
