I bought a house thru New American Funding, and they were the title company they used, all pay offs and documents were sent over only to find out later, they over looked the pay off documents, and only paid off the previous owners mortgage and not their HELOC, which the house is collateral for. As far as it stands right now they are saying we need to use our own money to pay it off, or the money my grandmother received from the house, at this point now though that money is gone and has been spent on past bills and what not to get them out of debt. Beyond ridiculous. Its LITERALLY the title companies job to make sure of this kind of stuff, but instead they openly admitted to over looking it with no effort to fix it so far.
