What clients are saying

I have banked with Texas Health Credit Union since 2014. In that time I paid off four car loans through them — four. I was a loyal, paying member for over a decade. And the moment I actually needed them, they treated me like a piece of trash stuck to the bottom of their shoe. I was laid off last summer and have struggled with steady work since. Like anyone would, I reached out to my own credit union for help — a hardship plan, forbearance, anything. I asked for nearly a year. In that entire time they offered me nothing. No program, no plan, not one useful answer. I have gotten more real help from a stranger on the side of the road than from the institution that held my money and profited off my loans for ten years. Worse than the indifference was the suspicion. I got the distinct impression they thought I might be making it up — as if a grown adult fakes losing their job and pretends to be broke for fun. I finally sent them a copy of my actual layoff notice. It changed nothing. Think about that. A member of eleven years, four loans paid in full, never a problem — and the first time I hit hard times, I’m treated like a con artist instead of a human being. This is supposedly a credit union: member-owned, “people helping people.” That is a sick joke here. I will never full-time bank with Texas Health Credit Union again, and I tell everyone who asks the same thing: I would sooner keep my money in a cookie jar on my kitchen counter than trust one more dollar to this place. At least the cookie jar never made me feel like garbage for falling on hard times

All the ladies are super helpful at Texas Health Credit Union, where I have banked for the last 30 years or so. About a week or so ago I had the pleasure of working with Rachel She’s familiar with me so it was a treat to get her. Rachel was patient and very thorough, she answered all my questions and provided insight: the visit was a success…. Thank you Rachel, keep being amazing!

Dan Duprey at Texas Health Credit Union did a fantastic job of helping refinance my auto loan to a lower interest rate. Dan went above an beyond to explain the process to me and help me get my auto loan refinanced within three days. I highly recommend using the Texas Health Credit Union as your lender and ask for Dan.
