The Brokerage Inc. is engaging in highly questionable business practices. They are actively blocking the release of my agency to work with Ambetter under a different FMO, thereby directly interfering with our business relationships and growth. The agency that brought us to The Brokerage Inc.—Texas Power Insurance, under the management of Jessica and Sabin Lopez—offered us a host of incentives, such as marketing dollars, leads, and more, to entice us to sign a contract under their umbrella; however, they never delivered on these promises, having lured us in with false expectations. Most critically, neither party—my agency nor The Brokerage Inc.—possesses a signed contract that would legally justify their decision to withhold my appointments. Ambetter states that the agency contract is held with The Brokerage Inc., not with Texas Power Insurance; therefore, the decision ultimately rests with The Brokerage Inc. It is an unacceptable breach of ethics to force an agency to remain stagnant within its current upline rather than allowing for a clean and professional transition. If you are an independent agent who values ​​freedom and control over your own business, think twice before aligning yourself with them. I possess all the necessary evidence to substantiate their stance regarding the denial of my release.
