Extremely Disappointing Experience with “a female representative from your agency. I don’t recall the exact name, but it might be Angela or Angelica…”– Long-Time Progressive Customer Dear Progressive Team, I’m writing to express my deep disappointment regarding the unprofessional and unacceptable behavior I experienced with your associated agency. I’ve been a loyal Progressive customer for over 10 years, and I’ve always renewed my car insurance policies through this agency without issue — until now. Recently, I contacted her regarding a charge of $300 for temporary insurance coverage on my second vehicle, which is currently parked and awaiting repair. I had only requested short-term coverage during the registration process. When I called to inquire about the charge, I was met with rudeness and disrespect. The agent spoke to me in an offensive tone and even hung up the phone on me, which is completely unacceptable, especially from someone representing Progressive. I called Progressive directly to report the incident, hoping it would be handled appropriately, but I was shocked to hear that you don’t accept complaints over the phone, and that I was advised to report my issue to the same agency I had the issue with. How is a customer supposed to raise a concern when the problem happened within the agency itself? This experience has left me feeling frustrated and undervalued as a long-standing customer. As a result, I have decided to cancel my policy, not because of the product, but because of the way I was treated by someone acting on your behalf. Very disappointed!
